EU-reported imports of Caiman crocodilus crocodilus skins by source, all purposes, 2002-2011.
EU imports in 2011 principally comprised skins, all of which were wild-sourced, traded for commercial purposes and originated in Venezuela (26 613 skins). Imports of skins more than doubled between 2010 and 2011, but remained lower than levels imported 2003-2008. The SRG formed a positive opinion for wild specimens from Venezuela on 14/09/2007.
