This section provides a more complete listing of possible discrepancies between imports reported by the EU and candidate countries, and corresponding trade reported by trading partners in 2012.
Discrepancies of particular note in 2012 involved Appendix I cactus seeds, with many Member States apparently under-reporting imports compared with exporter-reported data. Other commodities for which discrepancies were frequently observed included live corals, live reptiles and reptile skins.
