EU imports in 2011 comprised 300 live, wild-sourced plants imported directly from Madagascar for commercial purposes. Over the ten-year period 2002-2011 the only other imports of live E. primulifolia were reported in 2004, 2005 and 2008. In addition, the import of 70 kg of dried plants for commercial purposes was reported in 2009, without a source specified. The SRG formed a negative opinion for wild specimens from Madagascar on 03/09/2012, which was confirmed on 07/12/2012.
